DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON

Upon arrival to Yangon International Airport, you are welcomed by your local Tour Guide and transferred to your Hotel in Yangon. After refreshment, a brief City Tour which includes; down town Yangon to see Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Independent monument and old Colonial buildings. Stop at Strand Hotel: the 1901-built three-storied 5 star hotel in Yangon remains one of Southeast Asia’s few grand colonial hotels and one of its most awe inspiring. Visit to Botahtaung Pagoda: a landmark on the Yangon River with remarkable hollow type of relic chamber. Later, stop at China Town noted for its fruit markets and delicious street foods. Later on, visit the magnificent Shwe Dagon Pagoda, one of the wonders in the world, noted for its religious significance and artistic beauty. Welcome Dinner at a local Restaurant and overnight at the Hotel in Yangon.

DAY 2: YANGON-HEHO-(BY FLIGHT) PINDAYA-KALAW

Today, we are flying to Heho. After Breakfast in Hotel, you are transferred to Yangon airport for departure flight to Heho. Upon arrival to Heho, we are driving to Pindaya; a small quiet town in Shan Plateau, famous for its Caves which enshrined centuries old Buddha Images and the Legendry Pon-ta-lote Lake.

Sightseeing includes: Pindaya Caves, parasol & Shan traditional paper making industries. Lunch at Green Tea Restaurant in Pindaya. Later on, drive to Kalaw : a beautiful colonial hill station surrounded by mountains. It is a peaceful summer resort with fragrant pine woods. The road from Kalaw to Pindaya (38 km) passes through a countryside of magnificent scenic beauty. There are Palaung villages nearby and hill tribes’ people in their colorful costumes can be seen at Kalaw Market which is held on every five days. Evening is at your own. Enjoy the climate of the hill station. Dinner and overnight in Kalaw.

DAY 3: KALAW-GHV ELEPHANT CAMP-INLE LAKE

This morning, after breakfast in your Hotel, your driver will pick you up from your Hotel and drive to “Magwe” Elephant Camp, proxi: 45mins drive from your hotel in Kalaw. Upon arrival to Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp, you are welcomed by the GHV team and informed about their project. After refreshments, 10 minutes trekking to the river where elephant’s bath and you can join in feeding and bathing the elephants. You may have an experience of riding on elephant’s back like Mahout: elephant-trainer, after washing them (It depends on the weather and health condition of the elephants at the Camp).

Exploration of the forest area, opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids around the conservation area. Lunch will be served at the main camp. You are also invited to plant a regional tree from the nursery in order to the forest recovery efforts. Return to main camp and enjoy the view through valley. Later in the late afternoon, drive back to Kalaw.

Upon arrival to Kalaw, you are transferred to Inle Lake, about 2 Hr drive. Check in at the Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Inle Lake.

DAY 4: INLE LAKE EXCURSION

This early morning, after your breakfast in your Hotel, your local tour guide will take you introductory Inle Lake Excursion tour. If your hotel is located in Khaung Daing , the excursion starts with a visit to Khaung Daing Village to observe tofu making.

Later on, boat excursion to Floating Market; a 5-day-rotating market in the Lake, where local people sell their own products from the floating farms. Later, to Phaung Daw Oo Temple; where the five sacred Buddha Images are treasured .Proceed to Inn-paw-khon village to observe Silk, cotton & Lotus fabric weaving cottage industries with their own showrooms. Lunch at a local Restaurant in the lake. Tour proceeds to Nga Phe Chaung Monastery; famous for its centuries old Shrines and amazing tame cats.

Next, tour proceeds to Nam Pan village to see traditional mild-cigar –making (cheroot Factory) and observe the carpenters’ work at their Boat building workshops .Proceeds to Ywa-ma Village to observe Traditional Silver and Gold Smith making. Later, observe black-smith workshop at Se Kaung Village .The excursion tour ends in the late afternoon. If you stay at a hotel in Nyaung Shwe, we are driving to Red Mountain Vineyard, to explore local vineyard & winery and have a red & white wine-tasting. Enjoy the scenery of neighborhood .Return to hotel and in the evening, dinner at the Restaurant in your Hotel and overnight in Inle Lake.

DAY 5: INLE LAKE-MANDALAY (BY FLIGHT)-MANDALAY

This early morning, you are transferred to Heho Airport for your departure flight to Mandalay (ETD-08:25, ETA-09:00). Upon arrival in Mandalay International Airport, you are welcomed by our company’s Tour Guide and drive to ancient capital Amarapura; the city of Immortality for a visit to Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images; weaving industries, two-century old U Bein teak bridge on the Taung-tha-man Lake and later observe the lunch process of thousands of monks who take their last meal of the day at 10:00 am in total silence at Maha Gandaryon. Proceed to Mandalay and check in at the hotel.

Mandalay is the last capital of Myanmar and that make her to be the best place to see all the traditional arts and crafts. Start visiting gold leaf making work-place and see how the gold leaf is being made by hand in a traditional way. Proceeds to Embroidery work shop, Bronze casting, and stone carving .Later on, visit the Old Palace grounds; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world’s largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed with the Buddha’s Doctrine; Golden Palace Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings and enjoy the panoramic view of the city from Mandalay Hill. Before sunset, go down to the foothill to catch the evening prayers of Buddhist monks at Shwe Kyin Monastery. Dinner at a local Restaurant and enjoy Daw Ma Ma Naing’s Marionettes show. Return to hotel and overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

DAY 6: MINGOON-SAGAING

After breakfast in your hotel, your local tour guide will come and pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Jetty. Later on, boat trip to Mingun where the world largest ringing bell exists. Start visit Pahtodawgyi unfinished Pagoda, MyaTheindan Pagoda; the best representation of the universe in Buddhism, Home for the Age in Mingun village and environs scene. Return to Mandalay and have lunch at a local Restaurant. After Lunch, tour proceeds to Sagaing: lies 21 km south-west of Mandalay on the west bank of the Ayeyarwady River. Sagaing Hills are known as a religious retreat where over 400 monasteries for monks and nuns are located for Buddhist studies and meditation. Visit to Kaung Hmu Daw Phaya about 10 km from Sagaing; built by King Tharlon in 1636, with the unique model of Maha Zede Temple in Si-lone (Sri Lanka). Stop at Ywa-Htaung village; to observe Silver-Smith workshops. Later on drive back to Sagaing Hill, visit UminThonze pagoda and Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin pagoda. Behold the panoramic view of Mandalay and Ayeyarwaddy River. Return to Amarapura and enjoy the sunset time from U Bein wooden bridge. Return to Mandalay and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

DAY 7: MANDALAY-PYINOOLWIN

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin ; former colonial hill station at 1040 meters above the sea level (67 km, about 2 hour-drive). We can observe the pine trees, eucalyptus and silver oak, coffee, vegetables and strawberries, which are grown on the slopes of the hills. Maha-Ant-Htoo-Kanthar Buddha Image, Pwekauk waterfall, Kandawgyi National Park & Local market are the highlights of Pyin Oo Lwin. Enjoy the climate of the hill station and overnight in PyinOoLwin.

DAY 8: PYINOOLWIN-INWA-MANDALAY

Check-out hotel after the breakfast and bid farewell PyinOoLwin and head back to Mandalay. Continue to Ava (Inwa) and take a horse cart tour to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery – built by the famous Chief Queen of Bagyidaw in 1818, the building is markedly different from traditional Myanmar monasteries, which are normally constructed with wood. Nan Myint Tower – solitary masonry 27 meters high watchtower, an example of early 19th century Myanmar  architecture, Bargayar Monastery – well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars.

After lunch, drive back to Mandalay and afternoon is at leisure. You may explore Zay Cho Market. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

DAY 9: MANDALAY-BAGAN (By River Cruise)

 

This early morning about 4:00 am, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel to Maha Muni Buddha Image to experience the Face Washing Ritual of the most sacred Buddhist Temple in upper Myanmar. Maha-Muni “The Great Image”, a life like Seated Buddha image which is believed to be cast during the live time of the Lord Buddha. After ceremony, back to Hotel and check out the rooms.

Later on, you are transferred to Mandalay Gaw-wein Jetty to board in Mandalay-Bagan River Cruise. Breakfast will be served onboard.

Enjoy the riverine cruise and ways of life along Ayeyarwaddy River with some boat stops at Myin-mu –famous for its vast lands of banana plantations and Pakkoku-famous for its Thanakha- Sandle wood, longyis, checkered blankets made of pure cotton and local branded cheroots.

Lunch is served on board. 

Upon arrival to Bagan by Sun-set time, it is depending on the permitted water level, arrival time might be varied. You are welcomed by our Company’s Local tour guide at Nyaung Oo Jetty and transferred to your hotel. Later on, drive to a local restaurant for dinner and overnight in Bagan.

DAY 10: BAGAN –MT.POPA

(Note-Early morning Balloons ride are possible, upon request)

After breakfast in your hotel, you are picked up by your local Tour Guide and he will take you to the introductory Bagan tour, which highlights: visit to interesting local Nyaung Oo Market and famous temples, such as; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas. Later on visit to Soya Bean Paste Production site to observe how local food is being made .Tour proceeds to Kyansittha Umin; Wet-kyi-inn Gubyaukgyi Temple with exquisite mural painting of 13th century, Hti-lo-min-lo; 1211 AD, one of the largest temples, noted for its fine plaster carvings on the arch pediments, frieze and pilaster. Photo stop at Khay Min Ga Temple, having spectacular panoramic view of cluster of temples nearby, proceed to Ananda Temple, 1090 AD, master piece of early style of temple-architecture with four hugh Buddha Images in standing position. Ananda Brick Monastery; with its 18th century paintings depicting Buddha’s life and elements of the history of Bagan.

Lunch at a local Restaurant. After lunch, visit to a Lacquer ware workshop, to observe the process of making a lacquer ware and its showroom. Afternoon, check-out from the hotel and tour proceed to Dhamayan Gyi; the most massive temple among other temples in Bagan and to Sulamani Temple; with some of Bagan’s finest ornamental work which are carved stucco on moldings’, pediments and pilasters. You are transferred to Mt. Popa (46 km, approxi:1 ½ Hours).Upon arrival to Popa Mountain Resort Hotel, check-in at the hotel, dinner at your hotel’s  restaurant and Overnight in Mt.Popa.

DAY 11: MT.POPA- NYAUNG U- THANDWE (By Flight)-NGAPALI BEACH

This early morning, after breakfast in your hotel, check-out the hotel and transfer to Nyaung U Airport (46 km, approxi: 1 & ½ hours), for your departure flight to Thandwe (Ngapali Beach)ETD-8:35,ETA-10:30.

Upon arrival to Thandwe Airport, you are welcomed by Hotel’s staff and transferred to your hotel in Ngapali Beach. This beautiful beach stretches over 3 km and you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling or carefree loitering on the beach, exploring or just sitting amidst whistling wind.

The rest of the day is at leisure on the Beach. Enjoy the facility of your hotel. Evening, enjoy welcome European set menu dinner and overnight in Ngapali Beach.

DAY 12: NGAPALI BEACH

The whole day is at leisure on the Beach. You can look forward to spending happy hours: make use of the swimming pool, enjoy the sun beds at the white beach, Enjoy Myanmar full body Herbal oil massage for couple in Your Hotel Spa. At the Sunset Bar you can sit back in a harmonious atmosphere with view to the sea: enjoy freshly baked pizza, salads, Burmese curries, delicious sandwiches and cocktails. On the beach you can play beach volleyball – or rent a bicycle to discover Ngapali! For golfing fans there’s nearby a 9-hole golf course. You can also play billiard and dart at your beach resort.

DAY 13: NGAPALI BEACH

The whole day is at leisure on the Beach. Enjoy the facility of your hotel. We suggest you to visit the market in Thandwe; an important town of the area by public bus and take a boat excursion tour to lobster farms .Or take a bike from your hotel to Lone Thar village to observe fishermen’s life, women at their work of dried fish & prawn products. Evening enjoy fish BBQ dinner on the beach.

DAY 14: NGAPALI BEACH-YANGON (By Flight)

Today, you are flying back to Yangon. Check out your hotel and you are transferred to Thandwe Airport by Hotel’s Shuttle Bus.

Upon arrival in Yangon, you are transferred to Hotel, on the way, stop at Loka-Chantha-Abhaya-Labha-Muni Buddha Image; which is carved out of over 600 tons white marble stone of 37 feet high. House of White Elephants; there are 3 rare and sacred white elephants, one male and two females, housed in a pavilion shelter. White elephants are regarded as Royal ornament and properties in olden days of Myanmar. Lunch at a local restaurant in Yangon.   

After check in hotel and refreshments, your tour guide will take you to Germs Museum and Bo Gyoke market (ex-Scott market) for shopping facility. Evening, farewell Dinner and overnight in Yangon.

DAY 15: DEPARTURE YANGON

This morning, if your international flight is in the morning & afternoon, you will be transferred to Yangon International Airport for your return international departure flight, after breakfast in your hotel.

If your departure flight is in the evening: this morning, you may go shopping at Bo Gyoke Aung San Market (Ex-Scott’s market) for shopping Souvenirs. After lunch, you are transferred to Yangon International Airport for your Departure Flight.
